

Alexis Dunand
Alexis is Senior Policy Analyst at Carbon Gap, where he focuses on expanding the Policy Tracker’s coverage. He joined Carbon Gap to contribute to the fight against climate change, being convinced that carbon dioxide removal constitutes a key, yet missing and often misunderstood, element of climate policy.
Prior to joining Carbon Gap, Alexis was acting as a civil servant at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He previously served as a research consultant at Carbonfuture, focusing on EU and US CDR policy. Before that, he was part of the leadership team of illuminem, heading the content creation section.
He started his CDR journey during his MSc in Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, having written his MSc Thesis on Swiss CDR policy. He holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Geneva. Now based in Brussels, he is a member of the Global Shapers Community.
