Francesca Battersby

Based in London, Francesca is a Policy Analyst at Carbon Gap. She contributes to advocacy at UK and EU level. Her areas of expertise include financing mechanisms for CDR across the innovation lifecycle and the development of CDR compliance markets. She has conducted policy work on public procurement of CDR, integration of CDR into emissions trading systems, standards and methodologies for CDR projects, and has worked on Carbon Gap's Policy Tracker. Before joining Carbon Gap, she was a sustainability consultant at ERM, working on carbon markets, nature-based solutions, and corporate sustainability strategy. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Climate Change from University College London.
