Sim Degrande

Junior Policy Analyst

Sim is a young and dedicated policy analyst with a passion for climate action. As a Junior Policy Analyst at Carbon Gap, he focuses on EU affairs and communications, building on his education in Global Health.  

In his current role, Sim works on policy analysis and is involved in communicating the science of carbon removal to a broader audience. He is committed to using his skills and knowledge to tackle the most important challenge of his lifetime: addressing climate change and promoting sustainable change. 

Prior to joining Carbon Gap, Sim completed an internship with the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, and holds a Master’s degree in EU studies and political science from Ghent University.  

In his free time, Sim is active in Belgian Youthwork on a farm in the Flemish Ardennes.
