Associate Communications Officer

As Associate Communications Officer, Lydia is responsible for making Carbon Gap, and its mission of helping Europe become a world leader in deploying carbon removal, more accessible to the public and key stakeholders.

Lydia joined Carbon Gap because she understood the importance of promoting the solutions and policies to reverse climate change. Prior to working at Carbon Gap, Lydia worked as a Buildings Archaeologist in the UK for three years before transitioning into sustainability by working with Startup Basecamp, a community of climate tech founders and investors working to accelerate capital deployment toward climate solutions.

She holds a BA in Geology from Whitman College and a Masters in Cultural Heritage Management from the University of York. She is an active member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) SDGs and Climate Action Working Groups.
