As Deputy Director, Carbon Markets and Clean Mobility at European Commission, DG Climate Action, I oversee the development and implementation of carbon pricing policies and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the energy, industry, buildings and transport sectors within the EU. I engage in international cooperation to enhance carbon pricing as a climate policy tool worldwide. I have over 25 years of experience in government administration, policy analysis, and international relations, with a focus on climate change, innovation, and economics.
I am passionate about advancing the EU’s leadership and cooperation in addressing the global climate challenge and ensuring a fair and cost-effective transition to a low-carbon economy and climate neutrality. I have a strong track record of managing complex and multidisciplinary projects, building effective partnerships, negotiating, and delivering high-quality results. I have a Master of Science in Economics from Copenhagen University and a Master of Science in International business and European Integration from Reading University.
